Microsoft teams are allowing you to use work and personal accounts in the same app.
Microsoft has made the lives of Teams users easier by merging the work and personal accounts in the same app. Now, you can use both your personal and work accounts from the same app on your Windows 10 PC, as per a report by Windows Central.
The update to Microsoft Teams eliminates the need to toggle between the two types of accounts. After the update, when you log in, your work or school account should simply show as the app’s logo, while the personal one will be indicated by a logo within a white circle to differentiate it. If you cannot gain access to both types of accounts in the app at the same time, it would be wise to get the app updated to the latest version. If you can’t use both accounts even after that, it may be because of the phased rollout of the update.
This is an update that’s been slowly rolling out to users and it might take some time to arrive. Allowing users access to both personal and professional accounts within the same app at the same time simplifies the usage and will help connect to contacts more easily. Microsoft Teams is also getting end-to-end encryption sometime in July this year. With this feature, the group video conferencing platform for professionals will get an additional layer of security with which they would be able to hold sensitive conversations online.
The Teams app would come with support to hold calls with end-to-end encryption. Microsoft says that “ to support customer security and compliance requirements, IT will have full control of who can use E2EE in the organization.”
