Flipkart new augmented reality feature: view in your space

Flipkart has recently launched a new augmented reality feature to see products in your room.

Augmented reality is an interactive experience of a real-world environment where the objects that reside in the real world are enhanced by computer-generated perceptual information, sometimes across multiple sensory modalities, including visual, auditory, haptic, somatosensory, and olfactory.

In the above image, you see that new option below the image "View in your room", this feature is available for limited products like furniture, refrigerator,...

On tap on View in your room, see the next image that opens the device camera and showing the product in our room.

AR (Augmented reality) camera is open in only ARCore supported android devices and AR kit supported iOS devices. if your device is not compatible with ARCore or AR Kit then the 3D view will open.

This feature helps to measure the space and size of the product and feel that how it visualize in our room. there is one more option for taking a photo or video of that product, By simple tap on round (bottom center) can take a photo of that product in our room for video press and hold that button.

There is one more option to see that product in a 3D view by tapping the 3D cube icon, In a 3D view, users can visualize that product from all angles.
